We’re happy to announce a celebration worth the wait.

25 years ago, Agustin De La Mora founded this school with the mission to help train interpreters for the work ahead, tens of thousands of students and training hours later, the vision has only grown. Come celebrate this milestone with us in the city where it all started.

The 25th Anniversary Gala and Training will take place on Friday November 17th in Orlando, Florida. The day will begin with a four-hour training session with our founder from 9 am - 1 pm and will end with a dinner gala starting at 7 pm until the following morning.

More than just an anniversary event. We’d like to say thank you to everyone that has been part of our history for the past 25 years. If you’ve ever taken a class with us, if you’ve ever taught for us or helped us in any way. Our vision for the future has only grown because of you, cheers to another 25 years filled with many more milestones!

Enhancing Consecutive Note-Taking Skills

The "Enhancing Consecutive Note-Taking Skills" training session is designed to provide interpreters, whether novice or experienced, with comprehensive guidance on mastering the art of consecutive note-taking. In the dynamic world of interpretation, where accuracy and efficiency are paramount, the ability to take concise and accurate notes is a skill that can significantly elevate an interpreter's performance.

This training session aims to equip interpreters with the tools they need to excel in their roles. By mastering the art of capturing and converting spoken language, interpreters are better prepared to bridge linguistic and cultural divides in diverse professional settings.

This is a language-neutral training, meaning it will be taught in English.

Who We Are

DE LA MORA Institute of Interpretation is a fully remote online school that trains legal and medical interpreters to work in their respective fields. DLMII was founded in 1998 by Agustín Servin de la Mora from the vision and core belief that interpretation as a chosen profession deserved better educational options. We are constantly striving to stay ahead of the trends and learning styles prevalent in today’s interpreting field through various formats including in-person seminars, live online instruction, and self-paced education. Our mission is to foster understanding and communication through exceptional interpreter education and development, and to advance professional interpretation standards worldwide. Our vision is to become the most accessible interpreter education platform in the world.
