$200 registration fee required. This fee will be added to your final payment once your registration is approved.

Training Schedule

Live Online: This workshop will take place in a virtual classroom via the Zoom video conferencing platform. 

Classes will be held mostly Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays.

All tracks begin January 14th, 2025

Tuesday and Thursdays: 8:30 PM - 10:30 PM ET (5:30 - 7:30 PT)

Saturdays: 10 am - 2:30 pm ET (7 am - 11:30 am PT)

  • Can I take both tracks?

    Yes! Select the "Legal and Medical Track" for this option.

  • What are the prerequisites?

    You must be a certified legal or medical interpreter. Or have equivalent experience. Proof of certification or a CV will be required as part of the registration process.

  • Will the $200 reservation/application fee go towards the final cost?

    Yes. If your application is not approved you will receive a full refund.

  • Is this training in-person or online?

    This workshop will take place in a virtual classroom via the Zoom video conferencing platform.

  • What materials are included?

    Students can expect to receive a workbook and basic trainer materials so you can start teaching your workshops right away.

  • What happens after this workshop?

    Students who graduate the Train the Trainer program can expect to have lifetime access to our Train the Trainer community where you will receive DE LA MORA Institute's direct support, access to additional training, and related materials. As a Train the Trainer graduate you will be joining the DE LA MORA family!

  • I can only focus on a single specialization now; can I add the second track later at the discounted price?

    Yes! To take advantage of the current discounted price, you'll have one year from your registration to add a second track. However, after one year, you will be asked to pay the full price of $975 for the addition.

Meet Your Instructors

Eliane Sfeir-Markus

Eliane Sfeir-Markus is a court certified English-Arabic Interpreter in the state of Pennsylvania and Delaware. Also, she is a Certified Healthcare Interpreter and an adjunct professor at Widener University Delaware Law School, an Interpreter Expert with Language Services Associates, and an instructor at the De La Mora Institute of Interpretation. Eliane is also a licensed Community Interpreter Trainer. She joined the Board of Directors of the Delaware Valley Translators Association (DVTA) in 2017 and served as the president of DVTA from 2020 until January 2024. Eliane is a certified coach and speaker with the John Maxwell Team. Eliane’s public speaking skills have earned her the recognition to train new and advanced interpreters and to lead many presentations and training sessions. She presented on cultural intelligence, unconscious bias, ethical competition, and other pertaining topics. Eliane speaks Arabic, English and French. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Translation from Holy Spirit University in Lebanon.

Agustin de la Mora

Agustín Servin de la Mora is the president of DE LA MORA Institute of Interpretation. He was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico, and has been a professional freelance and staff interpreter for the last 28 years. He is one of the Supervisor Raters for the National Center for State Courts and has been a lead rater for the federal and consortium oral exams for court interpreters. He was the lead interpreter for the Ninth Judicial Circuit for over a decade, served as member of the Project Advisory Committee responsible for the creation of the National Standards for Healthcare Interpreter Training Programs for the NCIHC. He was a member of the Florida Court Interpreter Certification Board and a voting member of the Technical Committee of the National Consortium for Interpreter Certification. He is a state and federally certified court interpreter, as well as a certified medical interpreter. He has been a consultant for the Administrative Offices of the State Courts, conducting orientation seminars and advanced skills workshops for interpreters in at least 15 states. He has been featured as a speaker and presenter in several national conventions, including those of NAJIT, ATA, IMIA, and NASCA.

DE LA MORA Institute of Interpretation is a fully remote online school that trains legal and medical interpreters to work in their respective fields.

DLMII was founded in 1998 by Agustín Servin de la Mora from the vision and core belief that interpretation as a chosen profession deserved better educational options. We are constantly striving to stay ahead of the trends and learning styles prevalent in today’s interpreting field through various formats including in-person seminars, live online instruction, and self-paced education.
