Webinar Description

In this presentation, we will explore the techniques and skills essential for effective consecutive interpreting without the use of note-taking. While note-taking is a valuable tool in consecutive interpreting, there are situations where interpreters must rely solely on memory and active listening. This session will focus on strategies to enhance memory retention, segment and structure information, and deliver accurate interpretation in real time.

This workshop aims to deepen attendees' understanding of consecutive interpreting, offering opportunities to refine skills in attentive listening, short-term memory retention, visualization, and other key exercises crucial for interpreters' accuracy and confidence. It is a hands-on session with a variety of exercises that can become part of an interpreter’s routine when practicing independently.

Participants are required to bring a recorder and notepad for this workshop. Join us to elevate your interpreting skills and gain valuable tools to boost your confidence and precision in any interpreting setting.
