Meet the Presenter

Andrew Bahr

Andrew Bahr is an immigration attorney and former ENG<>ESP SOSi interpreter. He has taught or co-taught interpreting classes for many organizations including Ayuda, Liberty Language Services, Multicultural Community Services, NYLAG, DC Public Schools, and NAJIT. He is a co-author of The Professional Medical Interpreter: A Comprehensive 40-Hour Medical Interpreting Course. Andrew is currently the sole practitioner at his practice in Woodbridge, VA.

David Hardin

David Hardin is a seasoned business advisor, entrepreneur, and motivational coach with over 25 years of experience guiding others to unlock their potential and align with their true purpose. Known for transforming businesses and inspiring leaders, David has built and scaled companies from the ground up, taking them from small ventures to multi-million-dollar successes. As a business advisor, he empowers business owners to achieve meaningful growth and balance, helping them reach double-digit revenue growth while attaining personal freedom. David’s clients consistently find a deeper sense of purpose and gain the freedom to step back, with many now able to take extensive time off without disrupting operations. A five-time “Best of the Best” honoree by Chicago Magazine, David brings a passion for motivating others to live fully and intentionally. Outside of work, he thrives in adventure—from surfing and diving to rock climbing—pursuing challenges that embody the ethos he encourages others to find.

Meet the Presenters

Eliane Sfeir-Markus

Eliane Sfeir-Markus is a court certified English-Arabic Interpreter in the state of Pennsylvania and Delaware. Also, she is a Certified Healthcare Interpreter and an adjunct professor at Widener University Delaware Law School, an Interpreter Expert with Language Services Associates, and an instructor at the De La Mora Institute of Interpretation. Eliane is also a licensed Community Interpreter Trainer. She joined the Board of Directors of the Delaware Valley Translators Association (DVTA) in 2017 and served as the president of DVTA from 2020 until January 2024. Eliane is a certified coach and speaker with the John Maxwell Team. Eliane’s public speaking skills have earned her the recognition to train new and advanced interpreters and to lead many presentations and training sessions. She presented on cultural intelligence, unconscious bias, ethical competition, and other pertaining topics. Eliane speaks Arabic, English and French. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Translation from Holy Spirit University in Lebanon.

Maria Ceballos-Wallis

Maria Ceballos-Wallis, FCCI, GA MLCI, FL CCI & CHI Spanish, is a highly experienced Federally Certified Court Interpreter and Master License Legal Spanish-English Court Interpreter for Georgia and Florida. She has worked extensively in State, Federal, and Immigration Courts, and served as a staff interpreter at DeKalb County State Court from 2011 to 2024. Maria holds an M.A. in international studies and a B.A. in communication arts with a minor in French. She has a strong background in multilingual communication, having taught at Miami Dade Community College, Florida International University, and De La Mora Institute of Interpretation. A dedicated advocate for the interpreting profession, Maria co-founded InterpretADR and developed "Foundations in Conflict Resolution and ADR for Interpreters," the first online training of its kind. She also hosts the audio and video podcast "Subject to Interpretation," where she interviews industry experts on topics relevant to professional interpreters.
