Webinar Description

Interpreters are facing a new ethical dilemma: how to respond to the growing presence of artificial intelligence in the language services industry. Participants will examine the nature of artificial intelligence and its significance across various interpreting environments and scenarios. Through interactive discussions and case analysis, this session empowers interpreters to uphold ethical standards while responsibly adapting to technological innovation.

Join us to explore how interpreters can continue to serve as the essential human-in-the-loop in a rapidly evolving profession.

By the end of this session, attendees will:

  • Recognize how artificial intelligence is impacting interpreting roles and ethical responsibilities.

  • Evaluate ethical challenges through real-world scenarios involving AI in interpreting contexts.

  • Apply strategies to uphold the interpreter’s Code of Ethics while adapting to emerging AI technologies.
