Webinar Description

Part 2: Practical Note-Taking for Interpreters

Building on the skills from Part 1, this session delves into hands-on note-taking techniques designed to complement memory retention. Participants will learn how to structure notes efficiently using symbols, abbreviations, and strategic organization to capture key information without disrupting the interpreting flow. The session will emphasize reading back your notes to ensure clarity and accuracy, reinforcing note-taking as an effective support tool rather than a distraction. Through practical exercises, interpreters will refine their ability to take concise, structured notes that enhance their overall performance in consecutive interpretation.

Don’t miss this skill-building series and take your interpreting to the next level with stronger memory, sharper listening, and smarter note-taking techniques.

Key Takeaways:

  • Master efficient note-taking using symbols, abbreviations, and organization to support memory without disrupting interpretation flow.

  • Practice reading back notes to check for clarity and accuracy, making note-taking a helpful tool rather than a distraction.

  • Engage in hands-on exercises to refine concise, structured note-taking that improves performance in consecutive interpretation.
