Course Description

This full-day, practical skill building will help interpreters measure, assess, and improve their accuracy in each of the three modes of interpretation. After a review of the Weightlifting™ method of learning for interpreters, instructor Agustin de la Mora will guide participants through proven strategies to support focus, memory, and notetaking skills in the consecutive mode. Next will be the sight and simultaneous modes, focusing on improvement of decalage, delivery, and dual tasking, with practical exercises to help you use what you learn. The focus on self-evaluation and improvement makes this seminar valuable for interpreters of all experience and skill levels.
